Summer class scheduledThe Lambdas are offering a beginners' class at the end of the summer. In six short sessions you can learn about 70 calls that will enable you to dance almost anywhere! Lessons are free. Here's the schedule:
You'll get a chance to show your stuff shortly after the class ends when we host a dance with our partner club, the Alamo City Wranglers of San Antonio, and other friends in the Austin Square and Round Dance Association. To sign up or request more information, contact the club. Lone Star Lambdas is an American Western square dance club, founded at Austin, Texas in August 2005. At our events, we dance to live callers who use the Callerlab mainstream and plus programs. One of our primary purposes is to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for GLBT dancers. However, we do not discriminate—everyone is welcome! What do you need to come and dance with us? Comfortable shoes and a good attitude! LSL dances on Mondays at 7:00 PM at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church (GLC), 200 West Anderson Lane, in north Austin (back or side entrance). Our activities are open to everyone. You don't need to bring a partner and the dress code is comfortable and casual. |
