Silver Star over the Alamo

Lone Star Lambdas is a Modern Western square dance club, founded at Austin, Texas in August 2005. At our events, we dance to live callers who use the Callerlab mainstream and plus programs. As a diverse, inclusive club, one of our primary purposes is to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for GLBT dancers. However, we do not discriminate—everyone is welcome!

The club offers members and guests a smoke-free dance space, as well as the opportunity to dance outside of traditionally gender-defined roles. If your club doesn't practice all-position dancing, and you're a male who wants to dance the right side or a female who wants to dance on the left, you are welcome at the Lone Star Lambdas!

As a member club of the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs [IAGSDC] and our local federation, the Austin Square and Round Dance Association [ASRDA], we seek to support the GLBT community and create sharing relationships with all square dance clubs.

Singles are welcome!

What do you need to come and dance with us? Comfortable shoes and a good attitude! You don't need a partner and the dress is casual and comfortable.
